About

Ever since I was young, I was on the path to becoming a healer. I had always been someone who listened more than they spoke and tended to take care of others, hence becoming a social worker and therapist.

But like so many others in the helping fields I was trapped in the cycle of burnout.

I had fought hard to get into the best university possible and then nearly burnt out between course work, internships, and working to make ends meet.

Then I started grad school, and again, almost got burnt out before I was even fully in the social work field. Then I took one high burn out job after another, all working in low paying non-profits with high expectations.

All while dealing with my own fears of what’s next when I’m done hitting the milestones? Then the pandemic hit 6 months or so before my last big milestone, full licensure, and the existential dread really kicked in.

I knew had everything that I needed, yet I still felt like a mess and that everything could come crashing down at any moment.

Finally, I reached out for help.

I didn’t know that’s what I was doing either, I wanted to ask what this whole coaching thing was to see about adding it to my toolbox.

What I didn’t know at the time, was that one conversation with a classmate about coaching was going to propel me into a future I didn’t know was possible.

Coaching created a space to get to know myself and hear the narratives I was constantly replaying in my mind without even noticing there was a possibility it might not be true.

The idea that you can design your life to align with your values and create abundance was so strange to me because scarcity was all that I knew.

Yet abundance has been my compass even when I feel uncomfortable with the uncertainty.

One of the biggest messages I received from my own journey, was how I needed to be grounded in something more. Community, family, spirit, and the very earth. From that feeling I created my business Rooted Life, LLC.

There are so many internal conflicts in making healing and wellness my business that it can be easy to start hearing the same old narratives and letting them hold your back.

This is really where I love to support others, in creating new narratives that make change and healing more sustainable. Being a healer of any kind is a divine calling, and yet so often we get burnt out before creating lasting change.

So why not design a life rooted and grounded in your authentic truth that nourishes the changes your seek to create?

Anytime I mention her to a friend or colleague, I always say how brilliant and sweet she is. She knows how to talk to people and making them feel comfortable.
